Biography
Actress, writer, coach, director and improviser
I am Inbal and I have been involved in many artistic projects since 2000. Originally from Israel. Now based in Berlin. As a performance artist, I find I achieve the biggest artistic freedom by combining all my skills into improvisational theater. There I create a theater piece in the moment as I invent something out of nothing.
In 2010 I started coaching improvisation to professional actors, amateurs and business companies all over the world. My coaching and performing have taken me to the U.S.A, Canada, Australia and many places in Europe like Paris, Oslo, Stockholm, Prague, Vienna, Lisbon, Bucharest, Helsinki and more.
During those years of coaching I realized that the tools of improvisation have the power to develop and transform people’s communication skills, relationships and charisma. Armed with this experience, in 2015 I moved to Berlin to apply this knowledge in the international artistic and business context. I call it “Human Communication”. And I am enjoying every second of it!

Inbal’s Workshops
Deep Dream (workshop to show)
The stage is an imaginary border between sleep and wakefulness, where pictures appear and fade, stories are born and develop, and the audience gets a peek at a visual fantasy led by charismatic storytelling. The workshop will be focusing on the following tools:
Storytelling with body language and monologues
Rhythm, intensity, beat in scene work.
An ensemble work that emphasizes on the magic that improvisation has to offer.
The freedom of the improviser to dream while creating.
Acting for Improvisers
This workshop will introduce you to some powerful, effective tools of acting which will boost your improvisation. With those tools you could create wonderful, dramatic, funny, honest moments on stage and learn how to “cash” them by playing them to the full, in a believable, honest and committed way. The workshop will focus on: Objective, Obstacle, Sub-text.
Time
Improvisation – like any other storytelling arts – uses the element of time, and does with it a variety of many cool things. It allows us to jump from one time to another. This workshop will give you tools to play with flashbacks, flash forwards and montages.
Conflict in the background
This technique teaches us how to dill with scenes that are situated in a difficult and tragic setting yet we meet the characters in a moment full of humor and laughter. it will introduce the power of humor as a coping mechanism, it will show us how to move the audience by creating a gap between the situation and the character's choice to laugh. It will give us an effective tool to tackle difficult subjects with respect and sensitivity.
The logic of the illogical
Improvisation, like any other form of storytelling, does not have to stick to reality as we know it. We can create different times and places and portray characters who are not from this world. However, those places and characters are not randomly different. They have their own internal logic and reason. This class will focus on creating unrealistic stories in a realistic way. it will help you to find order in chaos and logic in imaginary realms .
